Pianist, Collaborative Artist
The Waldland Ensemble's latest album "American Voices" has been reviewed by the American Record Guide. The review praises the ensemble for giving "intense and thoroughly committed performances, handling well the gamut of compositional ideas, from the immediate to the abstract and from the quiet to the thrilling."
Along with violists Andy Braddock, Katrin Meidell, Hillary and Herndon and Daphne Gerling, Bernadette Lo presented the lecture-recital “the 1919 Berkshire Competition: A Centennial Review” in the 2018 International Viola Congress in Rotterdam, the Netherlands. To continue celebrating the centennial of the Berkshire competition, she and Hillary Herndon will take the project “Revival of the Coolidge Competition” on the road, performing the winning composition Bloch's 1919 Suite, the runner-up Clarke's Sonata and some of the 72 anonymous works submitted to the 1919 competition at various schools across the country.
